PERTH AND KINROSS COUNCIL EVENTS FUNDING Perth and Kinross Council award grants to organisations staging events in Perth and Kinross. Only requests above £2,000 will be considered under this scheme. Applicants who wish to apply for funding below this level should apply through through the Council’s Corporate Financial Assistance to the Voluntary Sector. Potential applicants dor the Council’s events funding are advised to contact the Council’s Events Manager on 01738 477951 prior to completion of this application form to discuss the event and its requirements. Applications cans be submitted either electronically or as a hard copy. It is advised that applications are submitted at least 3 months prior to the event date. Events funding applications are assessed against the following criteria: · Events which offer a direct economic return on investment through tourism, business opportunities or other means · Events which encourage overnight stays · Events of national importance (at least in a Scottish context) · Events which focus on quieter times of the year · Events which showcase Perthshire culture, sport and natural environment · Events which can be developed/grown · Events which offer commercial and showcasing opportunities for Perthshire businesses · Events which promote social inclusion Any relevant images, DVD’s or promotional material associated with the event may accompany the application. Successful applications will be confirmed in writing by form of contract. This contract will outline the conditions upon which the funding is granted.
