Corporate Financial Assistance to the Voluntary/Community Sector

 

The Council awards grants from its Corporate Financial Assistance Budget to voluntary/community organisations to invest in growth and development and grass-roots activities.  This includes support for capital projects, village halls, sports clubs and bloom committees.  (more)

Perth and Kinross Quality of Life Trust (Better Place to Live Grants)

 

Perth and Kinross Quality of Life Trust will support projects which improve the Quality of Life within Perth and Kinross and develop sustainable communities.  This includes better use of buildings and land by providing local amenities, improving access for disabled, re-using/conserving buildings, using open space for community benefit and encouraging biodiversity.

SITA Tayside Biodiversity Fund

 

The Fund will aim to deliver biodiversity conservation and enhancement for UK species and habitats through physical works.  (more)

Common Good Fund

 

The Common Good Funds are in place to support local residents and organisations by distributing grants.  These grant awards allow individuals and local organisations to carry out a wide range of community based activities including capital grants for provision/improvement of facilities.  (more)

Perth and Kinross Leisure

 

Perth and Kinross Leisure provide financial assistance towards the cost of providing a facility, extending a facility or for major repair costs.  (more)

The Big Lottery Fund

 

BIG is the largest distributor of lottery money.  £257 million will be invested in Scotland’s communities by 2009 to bring about social change.  A number of projects within the fund support the improvement of buildings and natural environment. (more)

Awards For All

Awards For All awards grants of between £500 and £10,000 for people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community.  Support is given to improving premises and building better facilities.  (more)

Heritage Lottery Fund

The Heritage Lottery Fund enables communities to celebrate, look after and learn more about our diverse heritage.  The fund covers the entire spread of heritage, including buildings, museums, natural heritage and the heritage of cultural heritage and traditions.  (more)

LEADER

Rural Tayside has been awarded £2million of LEADER funding to be allocated over the period 2008-2013.

LEADER is part of the new Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP), aimed at promoting economic and community development within rural areas.  Support will be aimed primarily at small-scale, community driven projects that are pilot and innovative in nature.

The programme is open to constituted community groups, social enterprises, voluntary organisations, public sector bodies and individuals who have public support for a project idea.  (more)

Green Grants for CSV’s Action Earth Campaign

CSV’s Action Earth campaign runs until 31st July 2008.  It is supported by Scottish Natural Heritage and Morrison’s and provides two easy ways to access grants for environmental projects across Scotland.  Application forms can be downloaded or completed online.

All grants are allocated on a first come first serve basis so please register quickly.  (more)

Its Your Community

 

The Conservation Foundation and O2 have come together to operate an award scheme to help people improve their local environment.  ‘Its Your Community’ will provide awards of up to £1,000 to local organisations and individuals to support environmental projects such as turning derelict land into an amenity park or wildlife area, tree planting, creating a wildlife pond, renovating neglected river and canal footpaths, providing water butts and recycling facilities in village halls, etc.  (more)
